Fishing had been tough over the winter on lures, but towards the end of the river season I got out, focusing a little more heavily on pike, trying to catch some pre-spawn beasts on lures. Keeping things up I put in another couple of hours down on the river, this time using a heavier setup for pike before switching down to my lighter zander setup.
Sorry for the wind on this video, next purchase is definitely improve audio recording equipment.
The UK river season for course fish is closed from 15 March to 15 June, inclusive. Footage from this video is from the weeks leading up to the close.
