Voted Best Apartment Views – With a stunning outlook over the 9th tee of the golf course, we loved watching groups come through, eagerly waiting to see if they hit the green, struck the tree, or landed in the lake!
Aaron enjoyed an early swing at the driving range and hit the ball the best he ever has before we sent the clubs back home! We easily reached our daily 10,000 steps as we weren’t in the tourist area, allowing us to explore all the hidden corners.
Lanna Square – The night market opened from 7pm, offering great food opportunities and bars. The highlights were the incredible acoustic guitar and singer, along with the breakdancing kids—both of whom blew us away!
Explored the Old City – We walked around ancient temples like Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang. Surprisingly, we discovered some of the best eats, cute Instagram-worthy cafes, and markets hidden in random alleyways!
Sunday Night Market – We shopped for souvenirs and enjoyed street food at the famous Tha Phae Gate Market. Dinner cost about $5?
San Kamphaeng Hot Springs – We soaked our feet in the natural mineral pools, then joined the locals in boiling eggs in the steamy hot spring water (yes, they give you baskets!). A quirky and relaxing half-day experience, surrounded by beautiful gardens and mountain views.
Mae Rim Mountain Spa Resort – We escaped to the mountains for a relaxing stay at Panviman Spa Resort.
Chiang Mai Flower Festival – Jess enjoyed the vibrant floral displays and the spectacular 25-float parade.
Coffee Plantation Visit – Jess experienced the lush countryside while learning about coffee production, including a taste testing. Someone please send me Honduran coffee—it’s so cute! We planted a coffee tree which will produce coffee seeds in 3 years. Joined by the loveliest people, it really made the day special.
Mali Cat Café – Jess visited this cat lover’s paradise, home to over 50 gorgeous kitties—some eager for pats, others enjoying a cozy nap. She fell in love with one special kitty, but sadly, couldn’t take her home.
Sticky Waterfall (Bua Thong) – We left it too late and missed it, but if you visit Chiang Mai, make sure you climb the unique limestone waterfall.
Grand Canyon Water Park – Another recommendation we didn't quite get to—this huge floaty waterpark adventure set in a canyon looks wild!
