In this launch coverage "non talking" Future Music video, we bring you the first available demos of this instrument along with an overview of its expanded features and updated sound engines.

Version 2 is a significant evolution of the original model, integrating wavetable oscillators inspired by classic Waldorf Music synths, compatibility with SERUM wavetable imports, and the ability to layer up to three sound engines simultaneously to create rich, dynamic textures.

With the V2 update, ELZ_1 play becomes a true portable sound design powerhouse. Its new triple-layer engine allows the fusion of oscillators using different synthesis types —from Super Saw and FM to physical modeling, granular, and pure wavetable synthesis.

Support for PPG and Microwave wavetables opens a vast sonic universe, delivering warmth, depth, and motion. The result is tones that rival much larger desktop synths but with the immediacy only Sonicware can deliver.

Sonicware ELZ_1 play V2 features eighteen unique synth engines blending classic and modern techniques: 8BIT WAV MEM, 4-op FM, ZTRINGS physical modeling strings, SUPER OSC detuned synth, STK DRUMMER sampled drums, and the new wavetable algorithms with custom waveform importation.

Its 32-bit floating point processing ensures pristine sound quality even in low-bit modes characteristic of the LIVEN series. The effects section has also been expanded, offering thirty-three varied effects arranged in three insert blocks plus a master effect, including Shimmer Reverb, compressor, formant filter, and granular textures.

One standout feature of ELZ_1 play V2 is the newly developed four-track looper allowing easy recording, playback, and overdubbing with simple button presses. This workflow lets you build rhythmic and melodic layers live, recording both internal synth performances and external audio via line input or USB.
