In this tutorial we'll use the features:
In Fusion 360, Extrude Taper Angle and Shell are two powerful commands used to create and modify 3D models, often used together to design molded parts.
Extrude with Taper Angle
The Extrude command is the primary tool for turning a 2D sketch into a 3D solid. When you use it, you can specify a taper angle to create a sloped or angled extrusion instead of a straight one. A positive taper angle adds material as the extrusion gets taller, creating a cone-like shape, while a negative angle causes it to narrow. This is especially useful for designing parts that need to be easily removed from a mold.
Shell
The Shell command is used to remove material from the interior of a solid body, creating a hollow part with a specific wall thickness. You can also select one or more faces to be removed, which creates an opening in the hollowed-out part. It is a very efficient way to design things like plastic casings, bottles, or enclosures that need to be hollow.
All dimensions are in mm/g/s/ISO
