Sorry... Just realised I posted this to the wrong account... but while you're here, this is Maggie.
She's 16 and and has been with me since she was approx 1 year old.
Rescued from the pound as a "cat flu cat"; she was destined to be put down at the end of the week since she had Feline HIV and wasn't a kitten.
She's lived indoors all her life with occasional walks in the back yard, and has been relatively healthy for the last 15 years.
Her 'sister' Molly died last year from Kidney Failure and some other age related issues ; Molly was 18.
Maggie is now a "high stage 2" kidney failure. So she's on Renal cat food, likes to play (not as long as she used to) and is just as smoochy as ever.
Hopefully she makes it another year or so, but no doubt, she is on her way.
