Thursday, October 30 - Michele Hemenway Pullen, Defending the Early Years (DEY) Kentucky Area Working Group Co-Facilitator at the University of Louisville Early Childhood Research Center will speak about the DEY Ready for Me Art Campaign modeled after the work of Barefoot Artist founder, Lily Yeh. The campaign is focused on changing the narrative about going to kindergarten. Hundreds of pieces of art and narratives from juvenile justice spaces, Early Childhood spaces, community gatherings now represent the voices of all participating in the new question: How is Kindergarten going to be READY FOR ME?
