This is an Australian built muscle car with a 6 cylinder engine triple carbs and final LJ versions delivered over 240 horsepower in a car weighing just over 1,000 Kg. It won many races in this format.
This Bathurst version LC GTR XU1 benefited from an Aussie 4speed gearbox and 20 more horsepower which was the same power output at the incoming LJ GTR XU1 Torana.
300 of these cars were made and released to the public so this enhanced version could compete at the famous Bathurst Race in l971.
This specific car was exported to New Zealand and has race history, it was shipped back to Australia a few years back and was sent to Worthy Restorations for a full rotisserie rebuild in early 2024.
