Rose Petal Killer Shakes Head as Guilty Verdict is Read

A jury found Zachary Hughes guilty of murder in the death of Christina Parcell. Hughes remained emotionless as he listened to the verdict and was seen slowly shaking his head and closing his eyes while listening to the charges. The South Carolina man testified in his own defense and confessed to murdering Parcell because he claimed he needed to save Parcell’s daughter from her. “I felt pity because I realized that this was just the only way to save a child,” Hughes said while he was on the stand.
