Today was on my way to visit the imperial Gardens in Tokyo but ended up seeing the Emperor of Japan give his new years message to the people of Japan
Totally stumbled into this by complete accident but what a fantastic event to see
A very enthusiastic crowd cheering and then joining to sing what I presume was the Japanese national anthem
Feel very lucky to have experienced this 🇯🇵🏴
