After burying his longtime friend and business partner, Ebenezer Scrooge, not known for his kindness to begin with, fell into despair and began to hate the world around him. His loyal and unresponsive assistant, Bob Cratchit, was especially hard hit.
But when the Spirits of Christmas appear to Scrooge on Christmas Eve, they open his eyes to his past, present, and future. Scrooge realizes that in his pursuit of wealth, he has lost what matters most: the happiness of loving and being loved.
Pleading with the Spirits for a second chance, Scrooge promises to change his lifestyle and forever "let Christmas into his heart."
