2022 Genesis G80: Luxury Sedan For Less Than $50,000!

I had the pleasure of driving the Genesis G80 this week (in Austin Texas), and oh boy... this is the epitome of "affordable luxury" !! I mean, this vehicle feels much closer to $100k in the sense of fit n finish, and the sheer attention to detail, even in regards to "switch gear" (window controls etc.) was delightful.

I know Genesis has been receiving a lot of praise as a brand for innovative design, high quality finishes, and generally affordable price point for the luxury segment... but this blew me away.

For sub $50k, the lack of a sunroof is my only true complaint about this car. A potent power-plant, even with the base 2.5T motor. A luxurious cabin with lovely touch-points. Even a decent infotainment system -- which at the very least is astonishingly wide.

I walked away, relaxed and comfortable from the cushioned seats, and blown away at the value presented here. It's hard to justify spending much more than the $55k that an 'Advanced Pack' 2.5T RWD G80 would run, for anything that brings more bang for the buck in the midsized luxury segment. The only two cases I can see, are having money to burn, or craving performance... you wanna be cozy? Look no further.
