The rules around who is eligible for Paxlovid may vary between countries and over time (for example, Australian rules just changed a few months ago), but the general overall theme expressed in the Australian CMI July 2022 is that Paxlovid is currently "used to treat COVID-19 in adults who are at increased risk of hospitalization or death", and Paxlovid Product Information July 2022 states it "should be taken as soon as possible after a diagnosis of COVID-19 has been made and within 5 days symptoms onset".
Your doctor and pharmacist will have access to the eligibility criteria in your country, which might change over time (for example: due to new research findings).
