Bezděz Hrad/Castle Sunset Drone Views 4K | DJI Mini 4 Pro

Castel Bezděz is one of the most scenic czech castles.
Castles itself was constructed by czech king Přemysl Otakar II. in 1264 on a high mountain with fabulous view. After his death in battle in moravian field his son and heir was taken prisoner in the castle in 1279.

From the 14th century many noble houses had in possetion Bezděz castle.
The castle was returned into crowns hands with the rule of emperor Charles the IV.
Emperor became fond of spending a time in the castle so he created a new pond called "Grat Pond" and it was in later future renamed to Máchas Pond after czech poet K. H. Mácha.

During Hussite wars the castle was one of the strongest fortresses oposing the Hussites, the castle itself was believed impregnable so there were hidden some of the roayl and church treasures.

During the 16th century castle lost its residential value for nobles.
By the time of the 30year war castle was damaged by imperial troops.

From 1661 the castle was mainly used by a church until 1785 by the decree of emperor Josef II.

From that time castle started to become a ruin and inspired many romanticism pots and authors.

The way to castle remaind difficult and inaccessible for a long time so there were no reconstructions in the following history and that is why the castle kept most of its gothic look to this day.

Today castle is in hands of state and is accessible to public with difficult steep way up.
