A pattern change this weekend will bring snow to the northern panhandle and heavy rain to the southern panhandle. Skagway, Haines, and Yakutat are expected to see snow begin tonight (Friday night). Snow is expected by Sunday for the Icy Strait Corridor area, including Juneau, Gustavus, Hoonah, and Pelican. As northerly flow brings cold air down from Canada, snow chances and colder temperatures push southward through mid next week.
