LOGIC PRO X - Beat Breaker Explained

This week, I’m taking a first and fairly deep dive into Logic’s Beat Breaker plug-in.

This allows us to think of a piece of audio in slices and to apply Time/Pitch manipulation, Repeats and Volume offsets to each slice. As its name suggests, Beat Breaker has been designed with on-the-fly beat loop manipulation in mind. But having taken a tour of Beat Breaker’s Modes over a wonky hip-hop groove, I’ll show you how it can also be used to transform synth pattern sequences, paying particular attention to the Mix dial and the Automation capabilities which lie within.
