The historical costuming community can be truly wonderful, but it can also be an expensive and exclusive passion.

I'm sharing a year's worth of lessons in how to get started in sewing, cosplay, and historical costuming when you have limited knowledge and money. I hope this makes costuming more affordable and accessible for people starting out on a budget.

Since historical costuming can occasionally fall prey to elitism and gatekeeping, I want to invite a wider variety of sewists to feel comfortable getting started however they can.
