Bon Jovi | Live at Nürburgring | Reconstructed | 30th Anniversary | Nürburg 1995

As it hit its 30th anniversary midweek and the festival itself goes into its 40th anniversary just this weekend, I felt it's the perfect time to put this back together. Bon Jovi were headlining the festival in 1995, playing the "Rock im Park" part on Saturday (back then still held at the Olymic Stadium in Munich) and closing out the legendary "Rock am Ring" on Sunday.
Parts of it went live via broadcast all around the world. Three sources were restored and edited back together to have about half of the show with Pro Shot material, for the rest, a rare (and below-average sounding at best) audience audio tape was used. It basically had been finished Thursday night until I found that the South American broadcast actually had cut out early on Always which had me recheck my sources and then re-edit the entire thing.
Even in those days, Bon Jovi weren't exactly the favourite in the genre (which was more into alternate rock and metal bands) for the festival and you kinda feel Jon being a bit nervous to get the crowd going before they get hooked up to the live satellites three songs in. But the band delivers, as does the audience. Not only is the setlist different due to certain songs being crammed into the TV timeslot of the set, but there's also a rare mistake where Richie actually starts This Ain't A Love Song off key and is able to get into the right one smoothly within seconds which is, as a befriended guitar player told me, really difficult. Later on, I Believe was released as a B-side, but I vaguely remember checking it many moons ago and finding some overdubs which didn't make authentic to me anymore plus I didn't want another source change for one song (there's enough in there already). Some sources mention this show ending on I'll Be There For You and while I have a copy that includes that, it sounds kinda detached (like on Ludwigshafen where it was later on debunked as fake), so it's not included on here. If it turns out to have been from this show, it will get as a separate uplaod later on.
