HERE ARE THE 5 DIFFERENCES I EXPAIN MY CLIENTS:
1️⃣ NUMBER 1: Female animals can be more expensive than males: $$$
Female animals in general cost more. This is because female dogs can breed and have puppies which people can either sell or give to their friends.

2️⃣ NUBMER 2: Size . Female dogs are generally smaller compared to male dog's. Male dogs have more muscle mass genetically. Females are also usually not as strong as males due to their genetic make up and hormones. So if you are looking for a smaller and less strong pet go with a female.

3️⃣ NUMBER 3: Behavior, the most important factor for a lot of families.
Male dog's come with male behaviors that less favored than our females. Such as humping, jumping, aggressive and territorial tendencies, and lifting their leg to urinate or mark on things! All due to their hormones. If your male dog is neutered by 6 months old you can blunt these male tendencies and easily train them not to do this. A male dog is known for truly being masculine all around and may require more training and a stronger owner depending on the breed.

** I believe male neutered dog's act like a typical boy. Very sweet, loving and kind creatures who love praise, belly rubs and affection. Just a good ole boys who like to sunbathe, eat and sleep. I think boy dog's are great if this is what you're leaning towards getting! I love my boys

***Now our girls. Female dog's hormonal behaviors are far less intese than males. However, female dog's when intact are known as bitches for a reason. And this name comes with no pun intended. They may also become aggressive towards other dog's in the house, territorial and hump things when they are intact.

Personality wise, I think female dog's are more alert and intuitive. Like women. They are affectionate and sweet and usually play slightly more gentle with kids. In my opinion I feel like my female dog's pay more attention to details with training and my verbal cues than my males. But I also feel like my females can be a bit suborn to get what they want.

Spaying and neutering your male or female dog will prevent these hormonal issues and either gender can then be a great companion where you do not need to worry about their canine matting instinctual behaviors.

4️⃣4: Male vs female sterilization surgery
Male dog's go through an easier neuter surgery and recovery and their surgery may cost less than a female dog. A Female dog spay is more invasive surgery removing the uterus within the abdomen and their recover time is a full two weeks. A female dog spay surgery will generally cost more.

5️⃣ NUMBER 5: Health issues of Boy vs Girl dog's:
• Male dogs are at risk for testicular and prostate problems if not neutered.
• Female dogs are at risk for mammary tumors and uterine infections if not spayed.

If your pets are spayed and neutered, then Boy vs Girl dog health issues depends on your dog's own health not their gender.
