F.A.Q.

Q: What does “part” mean?
A: When you see a recipe expressed in 'parts' that means you are looking at the recipe 'ratio', which is supposed to help you scale the quantity up and down.
Example: let's say you don't have measuring spoons at home and all you have is a small coffee cup. If the ratio called for 50:1:1, that would be 50 cups of water, 1 cup of glycerin, 1 cup of gelatin.
Then, let's say you wanted a bioplastic that was double the size. You can use a coffee cup that is double the size, or, following the same ratio 50:1:1 all you need to do is double the numbers, so that would be: 100 cups of water, 2 cups of glycerin, 2 cups of gelatin.

Q: Where should I place it to dry?
A: You can leave it to dry at open air inside your house, or put it in the sun if that's an option.

Q: What is the quickest way to dry it?
A: The ideal and fastest way to dry it is a dehydrator.

Q: What if I don't have glycerin?
A: You can substitute it for honey, but the flexibility of the bioplastic might not be uniform.

Q: My bioplastic developed mold, how can I avoid that?
A: It's difficult to say, I haven't had problems with mold; I don't sanitize or disinfect the utensils, but I generally try to keep the work area and tools as clean as possible.
