兼六園，日本三名園之一，位於石川縣金澤市，名列日本國之特別名勝，面積約11.7公頃。起源於17世紀中期加賀藩在金澤城的外郭造營的藩庭，是江戶時代代表的池泉回遊式庭園。和岡山市的後樂園、水戶市的偕樂園並稱日本三名園。1922年，指定為國之名勝、1985年，指定為國之特別名勝。冬季時以雪吊的風景而聞名。
車站東口外的巨大木製鼓門，以日本傳統小鼓為藍本，其獨特風格已為金澤市的當代象徵；與鼓門相連的現代玻璃結構，如同為造訪金澤的遊客撐傘，因次又稱作「款待巨蛋（圓頂）」。
Kenrokuen Garden, one of the three great gardens in Japan, is located in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. It is listed as a special place of scenic beauty in Japan and covers an area of approximately 11.7 hectares. Originated from the mid-17th century, when the Kaga domain built its own courtyard outside of Kanazawa Castle, it is a representative pond-and-spring strolling garden of the Edo period. It is known as one of the three most famous gardens in Japan, along with Korakuen in Okayama City and Kairakuen in Mito City. In 1922, it was designated as a national scenic spot, and in 1985, it was designated as a national special scenic spot. It is famous for its snow-capped mountains in winter.
The huge wooden drum gate outside the east exit of the station is modeled after a traditional Japanese drum, and its unique style has become a contemporary symbol of Kanazawa City. The modern glass structure connected to the drum gate is like an umbrella for tourists visiting Kanazawa, so it is also called the "Hospitality Dome".
