Private D. Turner, the well known Cairns soldier, who was one of the early men to enlist, and who went through some terrible fighting at Gallipoli, kept a very complete diary of his movements after reaching Egypt. This diary has been secured by the “Herald” and we feel sure that it will prove of unparalleled interest to our many readers. It is something unique, and so far none of Australia’s papers have had such a complete and accurate account of the magnificent struggle which the Australian’s put up in the Peninsula.
