Siena International Photo Awards 2021. Ecco le belle immagini di natura, momenti sportivi, animali, edifici. E anche qualche scatto che testimonia il dramma della pandemia da Covid-19. Gli scatti premiati quest'anno al famoso concorso fotografico sono come sempre spettacolari
Sono stati annunciati i vincitori del Siena International Photo Awards (SIPA), il prestigioso concorso fotografico internazionale organizzato a Siena a cui possono partecipare fotografi professionisti e dilettanti.
Siena International Photo Awards: il fotografo dell'anno
Il premio più importante, ossia il “Photographer of the Year”, è stato vinto dal fotografo turco Mehmet Aslan con lo scatto intitolato "Hardship of Life", un‘immagine di forte impatto emotivo che arriva dal distretto di Reyhanli, nella provincia turca di Hatay, al confine con la Siria.
“Le difficoltà della vita”: l’immagine premiata
La foto vincitrice (che vedete sopra) ritrae il padre Munzir, che ha perso la gamba destra a causa di una bomba caduta mentre stava passeggiando in un bazar di Idlib in Siria. Suo figlio Mustafa è nato senza gli arti inferiori e quelli superiori a causa di una malformazione, la tetramelia, causata dall'assunzione di farmaci da parte della madre Zeynep, colpita, durante la guerra in Siria, anche dal gas nervino.
Mustafa avrà bisogno, in futuro, di protesi elettroniche che, purtroppo, al momento, non sono ancora disponibili in Turchia. L’istantanea è stata selezionata dalla giuria fra decine di migliaia di immagini inviate da fotografi di 163 Paesi.

The winners of the Siena International Photo Awards (SIPA) have been announced, the prestigious international photographic competition organized in Siena in which professional and amateur photographers can participate.
Siena International Photo Awards: the photographer of the year
The most important award, the "Photographer of the Year", was won by the Turkish photographer Mehmet Aslan with the shot entitled "Hardship of Life", an image with a strong emotional impact that comes from the district of Reyhanli, in the Turkish province of Hatay, on the border with Syria.
"The difficulties of life": the rewarded image
The winning photo (you see above) is of his father Munzir, who lost his right leg to a bomb dropped while he was walking in a bazaar in Idlib in Syria. His son Mustafa was born without his lower and upper limbs due to a malformation, tetramelia, caused by his mother Zeynep taking drugs, also affected by nerve gas during the war in Syria.
Mustafa will need electronic prostheses in the future which, unfortunately, are not yet available in Turkey at the moment. The snapshot was selected by the jury from among tens of thousands of images sent by photographers from 163 countries.
