Last weekend I managed to set a personal best at a familiar track—Northern California’s Thunderhill East circuit. While the Suzuki SV650 is at a decided power disadvantage on a track with two straights, I was able to find a rabbit to chase and help reduce my lap times even further.
I took a very wide line around turn two, not wanting to get to close to the rider ahead. I still have some things to work on, especially my roll speed through one. I shouldn’t need to downshift there, as I realized in later sessions.
