In the far northeastern corner of Yakutia, temperatures reached −62°C as night fell.
By dawn, a massive Arctic storm rose from the Kolyma Highlands and swallowed everything in white silence.
This film follows Stepan, a middle-aged reindeer herder, and Anya, a young Yakut woman living alone with her dogs, as they face one of the harshest blizzards of the winter season. Through collapsing visibility, freezing winds, and drifting snow taller than a person, they struggle to protect their reindeer, their families, and themselves.
