This homily traces the use of prayer beads in many spiritual traditions and focuses on their use among the Desert Fathers and the Catholic Rosary - from St. Dominic in 1214 to Pope John Paul II in 2002. It goes on to offer a new interpretation of the Joyful Mysteries.
