Before departing North Reading on April 19th, Reading and Northern NRFF had engine troubles causing the crew to take off a SD50, leaving only two SD40-2 locomotives to take a 44 car train from Reading to Pittston. Although they did make it, the EMD's were in 8th notch for the majority of the trip.
