Supreme Court to Hear Petitions on Murshidabad Violence, NCW Submits Report | News9

The Supreme Court will today hear petitions seeking a Court-monitored investigation into the violence in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district during protests against the Waqf Amendment Act. The hearing will be conducted by Justices Surya Kant and NK Singh. Meanwhile, the NCW team, which visited violence-affected areas in Murshidabad and the Malda relief camps, is preparing to submit a detailed report to the Home Minister, urging urgent action by the West Bengal government to address the grievances of the riot-hit families, particularly women. Families displaced from Dhuliyan are being brought back under heavy security.
