I wanted to get out on the beach one more time before the cold set in and create a longer (yet slower) slow drum. This one is at 12 beats per minute with more varied scratching/rubbing patterns than the previous 16bpm version. Out of 50+ minutes of recording, I was able get 27 usable minutes when I removed the aircraft and tourists. Considering it was December 30th in a beach tourist town, I think that was a pretty good haul!
This was also the last video of 2017. I’ll be doing more indoor work in January due to the colder weather. I may be able to do more beach videos in January, but I need to get creative and get the timing right with the weather. I’ll do another vlog with ideas and have another vote. :-)
