In Episode 8 of Porto and Back, we slow things down a bit with a shorter driving day of just 315km – giving us the chance to soak in one of the true motorsport highlights of the trip: the legendary Le Mans 24 Hour Museum.

After navigating through a relatively easy drive from Angoulême, we arrive at the museum where we dive into the incredible history of endurance racing and some of the most iconic race cars ever built. A real pilgrimage spot for any car enthusiast!

From there, it’s a short hop into the heart of Le Mans and our final hotel stay at the excellent Le Prince Hotel Spa, complete with secure gated parking, stylish rooms (room tour included!), and a perfect location next to a lively square full of bars and restaurants.

The evening was as relaxed as the drive — with food, drinks, and good company… until Rob decided he needed a late-night chicken fix, prompting one last unexpected adventure in town.

With this being our final hotel stop, the end of our epic journey is now in sight — but not before we make the final push home in the next episode.
