Cadillac lent us the very new, and very big 2026 Escalade IQL in the Sport trim, and it is mighty impressive. Starting at $130,905 ($136,915), there isn’t much on sale that can hold 7 people and all their cargo in luxury comfort. This does that, and can go around 500 miles on a full charge. So, how was it?

We loved the IQL’s snazzy interior, quiet ride, trick rear wheel steering, and endless features to explore. Even though we lacked the massaging seats, powered doors, and executive rear seats, this felt very much a proper luxury machine. Nonetheless, you cannot escape physics. At 228in long and a weight north of 9,000lbs, the IQL is not confident under heavy acceleration and parking, even with the auto assistant, can be challenging in smaller towns or cities.

ACNCarScore: 8.5/10 - The 2026 Cadillac Escalade IQL not only lives up to the Escalade name, but it even can offer a more luxurious ride than it gas sibling. While not perfect , if you want one of the largest SUVs on sale to haul your entire family and their cargo, the IQL has you covered.
