In this video we discuss about introduction of biochemical reactions.

Biochemical Reactions are chemical reaction that takes place inside living organisms.
Sum of all the chemical reactions that occur within all living organisms is termed metabolism. It is the combination of catabolism and anabolism.
Metabolic reactions that release energy from the breakdown or degradation of a complex organic molecules are called catabolism or catabolic reactions.
Metabolic reaction in which energy is utilized to assemble smaller molecules and produce biosynthetic building blocks are called anabolism or anabolic reactions.
All these biochemical reactions are precisely controlled by enzymes.
Enzymes are biological catalyst that accelerates the rate of a specific biochemical reaction.
