We will take you down the Swiss Wall, (Mur Suisse / Pas de Chavanette) starting point Avoriaz, join our morning ski, to the wall and down it.
The purpose of this video is for your entertainment, it is NOT to encourage you to ski the wall.
We are NOT professional skiers so don't want to advise, we just want you to enjoy the wall with us from your living room or maybe you will take the chairlift down it one day.
Only ski it if you are CERTAIN that you are able to.
The slope looks less steep on the video that it feels (and actually is) when you are on it so please take this into account if you ARE considering doing it.
Lesley skied this 20 years ago (much younger and fitter) for the first time and hasn't skied it for 10 years now until January 2025, probably the last time!
We skied it in fresh snow. It often has huge moguls at the start as it is an ungroomed piste, although it IS monitored. If icey or hard packed and you lose control you are likely to slide all the way down at high risk of serious injury or death.
NEVER GO DOWN IT IF ITS HAS CLOSED SIGNS AT THE TOP.
