In life, our reactions often say more than our words—and they reveal what’s really driving us. In one of Jesus’ darkest moments, while Peter reached for a sword, Jesus reached for surrender, choosing compassion, obedience, and trust in the Father’s will. Where Peter acted out of impulse, Jesus responded with intentional love—even toward His betrayer. It’s a powerful reminder that being a follower of Jesus means more than belief—it’s about becoming someone who reacts differently because they abide differently. Our reactions today are shaped by yesterday’s choices—but with God’s grace, we can choose differently moving forward.
