I use waterproof ink with watercolor a lot. Some waterproof ink takes hours to dry before you can safely paint over them, and some are ready to go as soon as you can touch them. Here I show you how three waterproof blacks measure up to non-waterproof ink when they are dry to the touch, after 30 minutes, after 1 hour and after 4.5 hours. When the ink no longer smudges, I used color to paint them instead of water.
