Proba-3 launch

For ISRO’s PSLV-C59 mission, a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) in the “XL” configuration (PSLV-XL / 6PSOM-XL+ S139) launched Proba-3, from the First Launch Pad (FLP) of the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC-SHAR), Sriharikota, India, on 5 December 2024, at 10:34 UTC (16:04 IST). Proba-3 is the European Space Agency’s mission that will attempt the world’s first precision formation flying in space in order to form an artificial solar eclipse, that will allow scientists to study the Sun’s corona.
