I spend a day at Winnifred Beach, Jamaica, one of the last public beaches on the island where locals gather to swim, relax, and share stories. I walked along the sand, spoke with families and friends enjoying the waves, and got a glimpse of the vibrant community that gives this beach its unique energy.
This hidden gem was even featured by Anthony Bourdain, who highlighted its importance as a place where life feels real and unpolished, far from the resorts and tourist spots. Every moment here tells a story about authentic Jamaican life and culture.
The local spirit shines through, and the beauty of Jamaica feels alive and untamed.
