MOONRAKING FESTIVAL Slaithwaite

I was kindly invited along to this years 40th Slaithwaite MOONRAKING Festival in Huddersfield.

Everyone was extremely friendly and it certainly got me into the local community spirit and made a fabulous alternative to my usual Saturdays.

Join me for this years illuminated parade which was filmed on Saturday 22nd February 2024 in Slaithwaite.

Slawit’s 40th magical candlelit community lantern celebration inspired by the Moonraking legend of smugglers, the canal and the moon.

A massive thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors, charities and everyone involved including the Burton Family who founded the celebration and it was great to meet them all during this fantastic event.
