Iftach’s Mission: Curing Fibromyalgia | 2025 Berger Student Fellows

Meet the future of Israel! Iftach Chaplin is a Berger Student Fellow and a Master’s student in the Technion’s Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine. Born on a kibbutz in Israel and raised in Texas, Iftach bridges cultures while pursuing groundbreaking research on fibromyalgia and the gut microbiome.

His work explores how microbiota transplantation could alleviate chronic pain, offering new hope for fibromyalgia patients. Beyond research, Iftach is deeply committed to patient care, volunteering in hospitals, and supporting his community — both in times of war and peace.
