Making the Christmas Mini Box
I made four small boxes measuring 6 × 6 inches and decorated them with Christmas papers from Graphic 45—though you can easily adapt them to any theme you like. Since it’s Christmas, I chose a festive look for these four boxes.
They’re perfectly sized to hold a mini album (up to 6 × 6 inches), but loose photos fit just as well. You could also fill them with chocolates, a small booklet, or any other little surprise—the possibilities are endless!
These boxes are very easy to make, even for beginners. For each set, I used one sheet of 12 × 12 inch cardstock, one sheet of design paper, and a few small scraps.
If you’d like to see all the boxes fully finished, you can watch this video.

Measurements:
*Box cover: Cut to 6 × 12 inches.
Score along the long side at 5 inches and 6 inches.
Box: Cut to 6 × 9 inches.
Score on the long side at ½ inch and 1½ inches.
Turn the paper and score again at ½ inch and 1½ inches.
Then score on the short side at ½ inch and 1½ inches.
I cut the designer paper 1/8 inch smaller so that a small border of colored cardstock remains visible. This also helps prevent the paper from curling. I ink the cut edges with brown ink.
