Lithium Battery Fix for 48v Golf Cart-DIY Jig

Lithium batteries are definitely the trend in the golf cart world. Many 48volt lithium battery packs are comprised of two sets of 24volt units that total 48volts. Lithium batteries are popular because they last for years and have great capacity. Many people don't know that you have to keep your 24volt packs very close in voltage or you will start losing range and tripping breakers. There are two solutions to balancing the voltage between your lithium battery packs. First option, you can buy a 24volt charger specifically for lithium batteries and charge the lower battery individually until it equals the higher battery. This is the expensive but quick fix route. The second option is to build a jig like mine and connect the "high" voltage battery to the 12volt bus bar and then turn on your lights to pull down the battery. This is the cheaper route but it takes longer. This isn't something you should have to do very often but when you do this jig will get the job done. I'm really happy with the success and cost of this jig since I used mostly spare parts laying around. Lithium batteries for golf carts are awesome and a little maintenance will keep them running at peak performance.
