1) Blood forgets no sister - By Diana T. with Band Flura
This poem is inspired by the lore of the Panther Girls from John Norman's Gor books – proud, free huntresses of the northern forests who live in bands, value honor and strength, and mourn their fallen with ritual dignity. It emphasizes devotion, sisterhood, and belief in ancestral spirits.
Death Song of the Panther Women (By Diana T.)
Sisters of the forests, daughters of the panther,
hear the words of the ancestors in the wind of the trees.
She, our sister, hunted free and wild,
with spear and bow, strong and untamed.
Her blood nourished the forest floor,
her courage lived in the shade of the great trees.
Blood forgets no sister—
she returns to us as the spirit of the ancestors,
luminous and ethereal, watching over the living.
Her soul does not wander lost,
she becomes one with the forces of the forest,
strengthens our arms, sharpens our eyes.
Honor to the fallen!
Her flame rises to the heavens,
like the smoke of the funeral pyre,
pure and unforgotten.
We carry her with dignity on furs and flowers,
we honor her struggle, her freedom, her strength.
In the dances of the nights she will dance,
in our victories she will triumph.
Blood forgets no sister –
she lives in us, in every beat of the heart,
in every arrow that flies.
Go now, sisters, with heads held high,
the forest remembers.
The ancestors watch.
Tal, sisters.
Tal una.
