This year has been one for the books for Facility Managers - In Facility Management, while not able to prevent every terrible thing from happening, it doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't be PREPARED!

Developing an emergency response plan and SOP for situations in your facility is key. Developing these plans during non-stressful times allows you to be more clear minded, forward thinking and prepared to RESPOND not REACT to emergency situations in your facility. Preventing loss of life should always be your number one goal.

This year at my facilities, I have experienced : Broken windows, graffiti theft, grand theft, material theft, breaking and entering, arson, violent transients and MORE!

As a facility manager, unfortunately, it is very likely that you are going to experience some of these issues if not worse but, it doesnt mean you cant be prepared.
