The Chieti and Pescara University Campuses are located in the Abruzzo Region, in central Italy, which is regarded as the Green Region of Europe. They are both easily accessible via highways, railways, the nearby international airport and the Pescara and Ortona ports. The campuses are built along unique tourist routes which reveal a breathtaking natural landscape. The cycle and pedestrian lane along the “Trabocchi” coast connects Vasto and the Chieti-Pescara metropolitan area. The Green Road crosses the Gulf of Venus which is surmounted by the Abbey of San Giovanni in Venere, an extraordinary memory of the ancient past. Continuing north, we come across silent war cemeteries, the cities of Ortona, Francavilla al Mare with its Cenacolo Michettiano and Pescara, a modern and dynamic city which hosts one of the campuses.

Chieti, formerlyTeate, is the ancient capital of the Marrucini tribe. It boasts 3000 years of history and is still a thriving administrative and commercial centre today. It houses the headquarter of the D’Annunzio University in a beautiful green area. The old campus is located in the neighbouring city of Pescara, a modern town which is undergoing major development and growth. Both campuses are interconnected to provide students and visitors with the best possible experience and build a welcoming and supportive community.

The University Campuses connect the two cities and are a stone’s throw from the parks, the oases and the protected areas of the Abruzzo territory. It only takes thirty minutes to get to the ski slopes from the golden beaches of the Adriatic sea.
