Kasparov's Alekhine-Chatard Attack KO's Korchnoi

Featured is a sharp chess game between Garry Kasparov and Viktor Korchnoi from the 2001 Korchnoi Birthday KO. Arising from the French Defense, Alekhine-Chatard Attack, Korchnoi immediately misplays the opening by meeting 8.Qd3 with ...Nc6. Just one move later, he finds himself in a completely lost position, as Kasparov’s pieces quickly create decisive problems despite the absence of queens. The pressure proves overwhelming, and Korchnoi is soon lured into Kasparov’s camp before being forced to resign after only 26 moves.
