Sports Illustrated’s Pat Forde and Bryan Fischer are joined by former longtime College Gameday Reporter Gene Wojciechowski on another episode of Others Receiving Votes.
This week, the guys jump right into previewing the upcoming College Football Playoff Quarterfinals featuring Miami vs. Ohio State, Texas Tech vs. Oregon, Alabama vs. Indiana and Ole Miss vs. Georgia. They give their opinions on what the most intriguing and most competitive matchups are and give their betting picks for the quarterfinals.
Then, they jump into some of the latest news in college football’s coaching carousel. They discuss Marcus Freeman turning down the NFL to stay at Notre Dame and whether he or Dan Lanning holds the title as best college football head coach under 40. They also break down Michigan’s hiring of former Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham and how he can help the Wolverines get back on track.
Finally, they wrap things up with a look at what changes, if any, need to be made to the college transfer portal, their thoughts on the dumbest things to happen in college sports in 2025 and dive into a crazy news story out of Florida.
