If you saw my last video, you know that this month I am diving into how loss of a parent can affect a kid's mental health. This week, I explain what "loss of a parent" means, my personal experience losing a parent, and how it affected my childhood.
This video is pretty intense and paints a picture of what it's like for a kid to experience sudden loss, especially from addiction and divorce. BUT--it ends good. Lol. I had to paint the picture before I talk about the healing and freedom.
I put a trigger warning, but again: if this is a raw topic for you, I wouldn't watch this video. Week 3 & 4 will be a little easier 😭
I hope this video makes you feel less alone in your pain, and helps you identify what might be the source of some of your emotional wellness issues, your patterns, and your coping mechanisms.
Like I said earlier, the video ends good--it's not all sad memories hahaha.
