A short 16mm film promo for the (once) village resort of Pravets in Bulgaria. This dates to around 1980, and shows the many pleasures and activities open to visitors. The modernist architecture is certainly interesting. This recreational region is about 60 kilometres from the capital Sofia and today has a population of around 4,512 people. Interestingly, the town is the birthplace of Bulgaria's onetime communist president Todor Zhivkov.
For some reason the music on the communist era travelogue films which I find like this always seem to have multiple copyrights on the sound. This is too difficult and time consuming to remove, so you may see adverts.
A fulgent list of credits appear at the end...but seem to be in Cyrillic so please fill your boots if your linguistic talents are up to it!
