I do Chem C3000 experiments 3,4, and 5 in this video. first i have sodium chloride in a test tube and i add an equal amount of sand then I add them to 50 ml of water. then i mix the solution, sodium chloride will dissolve however, sand will not. I then decant the solution by pouring off the water and leaving the behind. The i put the solution in and evaporation dish and put it under the alcohol lamp. the water boils of and leave nice white sodium chloride.
