Welcome back to the 6th adventure of Borrow Iron's epic grind for the Gilded Collection Log Staff/ Book. This is my first 5 weeks of progress of me trying out Sailing skill for the first ever time on my character. Over 80 new collection log slots was added to the game alongside with Sailing, so I had to try to fill in as much as I can all whilst landing on my feet in the midst of this chaos.
This is where I discovered 1 minor update that excited me the most & this is where I turned myself around to complete several grinds.
This minor update was the Lost Clue Caskets which is an Ocean Encounter that you can come across randomly in-game whilst sailing around in the waters. This is the rarest encounter to come across with a very good reason why that is. These 'Lost casket' encounters is sailing's version of the 'Lucky Implings' for the hunter skill. But the most incredible thing is it requires NO sailing level requirement other than a large amount of luck to spawn one. The lost casket will tell you what tier it is in brackets and you can only roll 1 item from that particular clue tier table including the rare uniques.
There steps up the 'Kraken Inky Stout' which when on board in a keg on your boat will increase the likelihood of ocean encounters by 4%! This alone could make the difference of spawning more encounters which in turn could be making the lost clue casket a little less rarer when sailing the seas. The only thing blocking me from obtaining this is that it requires at least 78 Sailing as it is a reward for charting all 5 seas.
So come along on the exploration of fun and hopefully I can log myself a lot of new collection log slots which will in aid reach my long term goal of the Gilded Log Book/ Staff.
