Reading & Northern 2102: The Open Air Experience! 5/24/25

on May 24th, 2025, Reading & Northern T1 2102 was scheduled to haul an Ironhorse Ramble train from Reading to Jim Thorpe and return. this was originally going to be a chase, but then as a couple weeks went on, another seating option was added to the train. no other than open air it was. without a moments hesitation I purchased one, and to find out it would be placed directly behind the locomotive, was a perfect decision.

being directly behind this locomotive while it screamed and thundered down the mainline was something you have to experience yourself. putting it into words is a challenge for how amazing the ride was. the amount of ash raining down, and the deafening stack talk 02 bellowed as it stomped up the grades. It compares to no others.
Reading & Northern knows just how to put on the greatest show ever. And everytime. The railroad delivers.
